Ah… the joys of gaming with friends. I’m a bit late posting today, as The Boyfriend and I went to a friend’s house for some Easter Eve food stuffs (omg the ham was amazeballs) and gaming. Horrible Therapist?! It’s quite similar to Joking Hazard, but a “therapist” question card comes first, then a choice from 3 answer cards, and each player chooses the “Therapy” for the end. Let the Shenanigans ensue! Definitely NSFW or children lol. And The Boyfriend won. Figures!
Next, we played Bears vs. Babies (feckin babies). Creating “bear” monsters to fight hordes of babies is very entertaining. Whence I Provoked the Horde of Blue Babies… unfortunately, I deftly – it’s a skill, really – handed 14 points to Sergeant Sweet Pickle (SSP for short, heh) and… he won, obviously.
But really, the best part about this type of gathering is getting to stand back and watch 4 nerdy dudes joke around with each other, quoting nerdy things that I have to admit I have zero knowledge of… but it’s definitely entertaining!
And, of course, getting to sit and chat with Sergeant Sweet Pickles’ wife for a little while was nice. I don’t have any friends here in Colorado (none that I’ve met from FB yet, anyway)… so all the people I’ve met have been through The Boyfriend. I DO know SSP from way back when The Boyfriend and I dated over 2 decades ago, though. He enjoys calling me Basil… 😐 Long story short, when I moved to Colorado those many moons ago, I tried to change my name to “Sage” (throwback to AOL dial-up chat room days) and The Boyfriend jokingly called me Basil. It has not left SSP’s brain since, to my detriment hahaha.
All the same, it was a really great time spent laughing and having loads of fun.
Now… if we could just get a regular – committed – D&D sesh goin…
