I write this as I am listening to one of my newest favorite songs:
I plan to insert links to some music that I have saved specifically on my desktop.
It was difficult to come up with a good title this time because I like a LOT of different genres of music. I often say that it’s easier to tell what types I don’t like. Not a fan of Polka, for example. I generally dislike almost all country music (there are a couple songs I’ve enjoyed). 80’s hair band stuff isn’t really my jam, either. Aaaaand… yeah, that’s about it hahaha.
Next on the Playlist:
I find that I enjoy both instrumental and lyrical kinds of music. However, I grew up listening to Classical Music (my choice) and had a ton of CD’s devoted to that. Classical was my escape from the reality that was the toxic and abusive environment I grew up in. So instrumental types hit me harder, I suppose? But a really good song with excellent (relatable) lyrics can do the same.
Next – is a LONG one:
Ooooh, and I REALLY love to discover artists that can cover an older song and do it… dare I say… better. Here are 2 that I have in my mind right now: Daisy Gray and Disturbed
Now… my favorite band of all time is Pink Floyd. I specifically love “The Dark Side of The Moon” – the entire album. I do love most of the rest of their music as well, but that album is DEEP in my heart. Fave song? Time. 2nd Fave: Comfortably Numb… so, when I came across Jamie Dupuis and his Harp Guitar Cover of Comfortably Numb, I about fell out. The link for that features 10 songs he’s covered, so I hope you enjoy that 😉
Sadly, I don’t actually listen to much music any more. Once in a while, I love listening to Opera while I take a shower or KPop when I’m driving to/from appointments and such. If I’m listening to music at my PC, it’s most likely because I’m deeply depressed and need to drown out the self-deprecation. Sometimes it’s necessary, as I do get numb and/or spiral from too much stress in life and all the chronic pain in my body. However, I rarely have the chance or motivation to do that.
Today is a PC music listening day… 💖
