Me, right now…

I really, really didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. Mars was a butt and ran away to hide, because he knows the morning routine means getting put in the basement (lots of room). Over a year and multiple failed attempts to integrate Princess Fluffybutt (also known as Floof) with the other 3… just… ugh. It’s at the point now where I’ve just accepted my fate as the Cat Swapper. Floof legit hates all other cats and refuses to get along with any of them. The new neighbors next door have at least 3 indoor/outdoor cats, as I’ve mentioned in the past. One of them – whom we call Squirrel (real name: BDubs) – scraps with Floof every chance he gets. The other – we named her Ducky (real name: Mary Jane) bc she quacks – is completely unbothered by Floof and Floof doesn’t even try to bother her. I’m unsure why this is. All the same, I wish Floof would chill the fuck out and get along with my 3 cats, at the very least, so I don’t have to do the cat swapping shite all the time. It’s exhausting.

On another note, my mom had her heart ablation surgery yesterday. I was gone from home from 9:45a until some time after 8pm. It was a VERY long and boring day, sitting at the hospital. Her procedure went well and she had to lay flat in recovery for FOUR friggin hours. We got frozen custard afterwards, though. The Boyfriend met us there so he could take me home. I’m really glad it went smoothly, but omfg. I’m still wondering why my being there was necessary. Don’t get me wrong, I love my mom and I’m happy to be supportive, it’s just… torture to have to sit and do nothing for almost 12 whole hours. And I really dislike hospitals to begin with. I brought stuff to do, but it was really difficult to concentrate on anything in the waiting room, with the TV blaring Game Shows (bleh).

Anyhoo… back to the routine of everyday life, I suppose. EMDR today and the new Women’s Trauma Group via telehealth. I might get a nap in, but I might attempt to play Minecraft again… except the recent lag issues after their previous update make it almost unplayable. I shall hope that it is resolved and I can play without any issues. *crosses fingers*
