1.5 – For Last Week’s MM:
I have to admit that it was extremely rough with my physical issues and I hadn’t put much thought into what I would consume less of… other than dairy or vaping?! I did have to consume more water, fiber, and MiraLax. As for external entertainment, sad music… by default, I did well with that.
If the answer to improving your life isn’t to know more, but to focus on less… oof. That goes into “I don’t want to know and don’t care any more” territory, for me. I’m a whore for wanting to know “why” about all the things – especially psychology and physiology stuffs. This includes wanting to understand why The Boyfriend does what he does, especially in the throes of addiction.
Mark also asked: “How is the information you’re consuming altering who you are? Do you like that person?” The info I consume, when inspired, is educational in nature, usually. And yeah, I like who I am when I learn more about what I’m interested in. I don’t consume news/media. In fact, I avoid it.
2.0 – Here’s the Thing About Trust
One thing for you to think about
Trust takes years to build but only a few minutes to break.
Think twice before ruining it.
Reflect: Then consider sharing this thought with others.
Two things for you to ask yourself
In what ways do you potentially put years of trust at risk? Is it worth it?
Recommended: Use these as journaling prompts for the week.
One thing for you to try this week
Pick a relationship—partner, parent, child, friend, colleague, etc.—in your life and do one thing to deepen the trust you have. Let me know how it goes.
Remember: Small changes lead to lasting breakthroughs. Reply to this email and let me know how it went for you.
Ah, yes… trust. This is a hot topic for me and probably will be for the rest of my life. I might do better this week with this one. We shall see.
