My trip to visit Arkansas starts tomorrow.

Am I packed?

Nope. Who actually packs early?! Not this chick. I wait until the very last minute and do a frantic throwing together of all the things and hope I didn’t forget something important. Hehe. (Edit/Side Note: Flight leaves at 6am, which means going to bed SUPER early bc 330am to get ready and be at airport “2 hours early” UGH)

Am I nervous?

Yes. In a plethora of ways, starting with: how will The Boyfriend manage cat swaps, will they get fed, and is Mars gonna be ok?!

Pretty worried about managing the Recovery Program curriculum (currently, I must type up a Commitment Contract, review it with The BF, and sign) and leaving him home alone for a week and a half… feels like a bit of a rocky start, but this trip was planned before we got into the program. Will slip-ups and relapses happen in droves because he’s an addict and has a thin veneer of self-control? I hope not. We’ll still be doing our nightly check-ins, but… yeah.

And then, meeting GenGen for the first time? He is legit driving 9 hours – crime of opportunity – just to meet me and spend a couple days in Arkansas. I’ve met ONE other person I originally met on the interwebs (I’m a nerdy gamer and have lots of nerdy gamer frens) but that was a woman. I don’t have any worries that he’s some weird serial killer or anything, but it’s still nerve-wracking lol. He’s a good egg and helped me through a very dangerous time. Nervous excitement is so weird.

Withdrawals. I will be without a PC and unable to play video games, plus doing this blog thing will be a little difficult. I’m sure I could use Granny Sidhé’s PC for blog stuff, but not gaming. Then again, I have homework and reading I ought to be doing, anyway 😅
