3a.m. alarm goes off. Drag myself out of bed and take an entire 30 minute shower. Get dressed in the cool new outfit I got last night, discover that the over-sized “Stranger Things” shirt has FRIGGIN POCKETS DUDE!

And that’s about as good as it got, no lie.
The Boyfriend dropped me off around 4a.m.-ish, had to wait for security to even open up the checkpoint stuff, so I went to the bathroom and then got in line. Waited about an hour until boarding. Had a lay-over in Dallas-Fort Worth, but that was pretty cut and dry, too. I was even able to grab some food on my way to the train that took me to my gate’s section. Damn place is massive.
Granny SIdhé was a little late, but it wasn’t a big deal. The weather was actually quite nice and I was enjoying getting to just sit and vape. We got lunch on the way back to her place – which took about 2.5 hours. We also stopped by a friend’s place to visit and get a couple pillows for me to borrow. Was really good to see her again. She’s hilarious.
All in all, not a bad trip, but the pain of traveling really gets to me. Had to take a pain medication. Did check-in with The Boyfriend (he had a slip-up). And, I went to be EARLY. 9p-ish local time, which is 8p-ish my normal time.
Sleep sucked, because my sinuses are all stuffy. Granny Sidhé is catching up on hers currently, because my snoring was pretty bad due to the stuffiness. She has 4 dogs and 3 cats. Love the cats (obviously), but the dogs… 3 of them are really hyper and licky. Can’t do much about that, so it’s ok, but damn lol. They’re still really sweet.
And, to end on a fun note… I took a pic of Granny Sidhé’s coffee making contraption a little while ago and gushed about it to The Boyfriend, saying how I kinda want one (mostly because of how convenient it would be to use compared to the regular coffee maker I have). He argued that the k-cups are an environmental disaster (I agree, but this machine takes regular grounds, which is what I’d use anyway) and asking if something was wrong with MY coffee maker. 😒 I was honestly just showing how cool it was, not actually expressing any intent to buy it (it’s $99 ffs)… but I guess me just saying I kinda want one means we’re totally going to buy it, but whatever. By that point, I was upset that he took the stance he did, so I told him to never mind with all that. He told me he doesn’t know why we’d need a machine that can do what the machine we have already does. I responded, “Yep.” and that was that.
Maybe I’m just sensitive because I’m exhausted from not sleeping well enough, not having creamer for my coffee, or any number of smol inconveniences, but I took his stance in a not great way and now I’m frustrated and annoyed with him. It’s like he just shit on my excitement parade. And really… trying to justify NOT buying it makes me mad, because he spends money on things that we don’t necessarily need either (like new grill covers for the car?!). Idfk. It’s not a big deal, I didn’t honestly think we would buy it, but having my mood shit on really sucks.
Meh.
